NOTICE TO ALL ARUNDEL RESIDENTS
Save Taxes and Sustain Education in Arundel!
Things are progressing and it is time to roll up our sleeves and get to work.
There is a LOT to be done in a short amount of time and we thought it was important to have a meeting to answer any questions, share ideas and clear up any misconceptions that may be floating around.
A few things we will be discussing is the withdrawal process, cost sharing, education at ML Day and most importantly- why it is so important to our town to withdraw from the RSU 21. This will be a perfect opportunity for anyone to ask questions and share information with everyone in a friendly environment.
There will be much more to follow... stay tuned!

Notice to all Arundel residents... Who Support withdrawal....
ReplyDeleteWhat is this meeting for? All residents, or those who support withdrawal?
If this this group can't figure out who this meeting is for, then get ready Arundel, lots of BS coming your way!
That doesn't sound friendly if only "supporters of withdrawal" are welcome...
ReplyDeleteWhat I'd like to know is why a cost analysis hasn't been conducted before a vote. Why should we vote for a withdrawal if we don't know what the costs will be?
ReplyDeleteIf there *has* been a discussion, it certainly can't be found on the town website, and whomever takes minutes at the Board meetings is woefully concise. The lack of detail in the minutes leaves much to be desired.
So - why would you jump off a cliff without knowing if there's a cushion at the bottom?
I would ask those Arundel citizens who are truly concerned to request at the next meeting on March 26th a complete cost analysis, that compares what it costs us now to pay for education, and what it will cost to go through the withdrawal process, as well as what it will cost to go it alone, given the current standards that Arundel was brought up to during the consolidation.
