The following document was previously posted on RSU21.org [not a formal communication channel for Our School Board as indicated on their site] and RSU 21UNITY facebook website then forwarded to arundelmainecares.blogspot.com for posting and open comments.
The document forwarded was a "DRAFT" version forwarded by Christa Mackenzie of the RSU21 UNITY Facebook Group, to validate the document prior to posting the "DRAFT Document" we have been in communication with Mr. Andrew Dolloff for a "FINAL" document for public posting which he approved and forwarded yesterday.
with one additional correction: Mr. Dolloff stated, "The only note I would make is that the final vote for withdrawal now only requires a majority, not a 2/3rd vote."
The PDF document reads as follow:

Re: Cost/Benefit Analysis on the Withdrawal of Arundel
Date: March 9, 2012
The question has been asked whether it would be less expensive for the Town of Arundel to educate their children as a stand-alone municipal school district, rather than as part of RSU 21. This is not an easy question to answer for two reasons. First, to determine exactly what we are spending on Arundel’s students each year is difficult to estimate because we have blended a great many positions and programs across the district. Second, if Arundel were to withdraw from the district, the Arundel School Board would develop a new budget after making many decisions regarding whether or not to continue to provide services at the same level as RSU 21. The outcome of those discussions would significantly impact the overall budget. In the face of these challenges, I am providing you with this analysis of the

expense and revenue data.
The analysis has been conducted using three methods. In each method, the result is a theoretical school budget for Arundel for Fiscal Year 2012 (FY12) if it were a stand-alone district.
What I find most interesting in this post is how the RSU21.ORG [not the official website for the school board] and the RSU21 UNITY web site obtained a "DRAFT" copy of a PDF communication between Andrew Dolloff and Todd Shea.

I hope you all take the time to read the attachment from Superintendent Andrew Dolloff. He did a terrific job explaining the numbers he's provided...

Maybe this is the link to how to obtain a "DRAFT" RSU21 Document?

Leia Marshall Lowery no one can read this because the bandwidth is exceeded??? FYI, I went to look at it, and can't see it.

Matt Fadiman I got the same error message. I will send an email to Jason Saltmarsh - my guess is that the RSU website has exceeded its bandwidth limit

Just a great reason to vote YES on April 10th. Did anyone see in the letter that Kennebunk and Kennebunkport's taxes will increase due to Arundel withdrawing beacause of state aid...um if that does not say it, I don't know what else will.
