I will be voting Yes to make an informed decision at that last vote. I am not so sure RSU 21 is beneficial to the town of Arundel and its students. All emotion set aside, and I really don't care what anyone else thinks, my vote, and I will vote YES in the voting booth.
I have been informed that phone calls to residents are circulating and people are being told that voting NO will take away their school choice. If this is indeed happening, it is a blatant lie. It is now State Law that our middle schoolers will always have a choice to attend TAMS even when the contract runs out and we stay with RSU21. The proof is out there...staying with RSU21 is what's best for our MLDAY School. Vote NO April 10th
A YES vote is to proceed with the withdrawal process...NOT just for a study...be VERY CLEAR On that because the yes crew is trying to say it ONLY IS TO GET THE STUDY DONE...it isn't...it is a VOTE TO START THE WITHDRAWAL PROCESS.....
This is QUOTED by TOdd Shae town manager at the MARCH 26th Meeting...If you haven't listened...please do it is on the town website.
NO means keep our money in Arundel and stay the way it is.
Vote NO. Remember your tax bill from this year? What happened when the cost-sharing formula was shot down and the undesignated funds were used to 'offset' our taxes? They went UP.
