Today's page one story, about the young girl hit by a
vehicle on Sea Road on her way to the school bus, could have had a very
different ending than the mostly very positive one it has.
It is hard to imagine the young girl's terror as she saw a
car bearing down on her as she ran to the school bus, or her father's
unimaginable agony of witnessing it happen.
Authorities say the girl, miraculously, suffered no serious
injuries and was left with only scrapes and bruises. That is wonderful, welcome
news.
