Kennebunk assault victim discharged from hospital

KENNEBUNK — The victim in a weekend assault outside a bar was discharged from a Portland hospital today after spending several days in intensive care.

Surveillance photos from Saturday night show the man police believe is responsible for an attack that happened later in the parking lot.

Police say Andrew Lavalle, 24, of Kennebunk was brought to Maine medical Center in serious condition after the confrontation. Police say a man Lavalle had met that night punched him once and that he then fell and hit his head on the pavement.
