  1. I agree that all three buildings need extensive work, however. Please vote no in order to give people more time to consider the real tax impact and the long term effect on all three towns. 13% tax increase for all Kennebunk taxpayers, 17% increase for all K'Port taxpayers and 12% for all Arundel taxpayers. In 2017 Arundel's payment will exceed $584,494, more than the town Hall administration article ( $580, 398), more than the fire department articles combined ($503,310 )more than road construction ($445,000) just a few examples. What will get cut at town meeting in June? The $12,000 for Kennebunk Free Library, or $205,000 for Recreation Department, or $78,000 for General Assistance, or $92,000 for Police protection? Then think about the fact that this will hit us for the next 25 years with no turning back! These projects are all over the top with extras, including additional square footage on all three buildings while all three are already under capacity with enrollments projected to decrease and leave even more empty space. Vote no now in order to take a step back and really take a hard look at what is being proposed and its impact on low income, unemployed and the elderly on fixed incomes.

    1. Coming from the guy who drove our middle schoolers out of town and was well on his way to have to send the rest of the kids out of town too. If you care about having a school in town, you should vote yes.

Again... some people will say anything to try and derail progress.

  2. Derailing progress? Inflammatory comments are what derails the system, and stops people from speaking their view, which thus leads to further divide instead of compromise.
