— Three people are vying for two three-year seats on the Board of
Selectmen this year. Incumbent and chairman Velma Jones Hayes will face
off against newcomers Donna der Kinderen and Jason Nedeau. The highest
two vote-getters will receive the seats held by Jones Hayes and Dana
Peck, who is not running for re-election.
We don't need another DerKinderen on a board. They both think way too highly of themselves and would mean 20% of the towns two key boards are from the same house. And you wonder why the town is stuck in a rut?
