King appointed to governor's task force
KENNEBUNKPORT — Maureen King, vice chairperson of the RSU
21 school board, has been selected by Gov. Paul LePage to serve on a task force
that will make recommendations on expanding early college and other
postsecondary education opportunities for high school students.
The Kennebunkport resident, who serves as president of the
Maine School Boards Association, was one of 15 task force members appointed by
the governor. The 19 members in total include representatives from higher
education, K-12 education, nonprofit organizations focused on expanding
educational opportunities, and associations representing teachers, principals
superintendents and school board members.
Good for Maureen and good for this district for having Maureen as part of it's leadership team.
