  1. I thought we were doing a study? I was told my yea vote would mean a study would take place. This is bs.

  2. That's where Planning Decisions comes in, they are doing a cost analysis to estimate what it could possibly cost Arundel to be independent again, and then there will be a public hearing and then a final vote. None of this will happen until the Commissioner of Education ok's the plan. Ultimately, only Arundel will decide what it will cost to be independent again. That's called local control.

  3. It would be nice if all of the meeting minutes were actually posted on the town website, which was the promise when this whole bucket full of crap was fed to everyone.

Not only has ZERO information been shared, but the whole 'study' was a lie to begin with.

The only consolation to all of this if the bumbling masses that wanted this so badly vote for it is that their taxes will make their rears equally as sore as everyone elses. Personally, I hope theirs triple.

    1. Sorry but this website can easily be considered biased. Right or wrong. This site appears to post news articles. Agendas and minutes have not been posted on this site. If the town did their part, we could all rely on one source for the true information. They have yet been able to keep up. It only hurts us all. No matter your stance.

  5. The only way anyone's taxes will triple is if we stay in the RSU and have to pay for the renovation of KHS. Planning Decisions has been hired to conduct a study. Try to stick with facts and not continue the vitriol, which frankly, as a non partisan observer, I see coming 99% from RSU 21 supporters.

  6. Its only "vitriol" if its not of your opinion. We often think much of what you say is vitriol. Why are you posting anonymously when your words give you away?

The "study has not been made public so how can you prove that the renovations are going to triple our taxes? Last time I checked, the renovation vote hasn't even gone to voters. Who says its going to pass? Who says changes aren't going to be made to reduce costs? I agree, you should stick to the facts...

  7. The 'study' isn't a lie to begin with, your words, and you are the one who used the words triple taxes. I heard the Consolidated plan could reach almost $10 million, and the performing arts center is an increase from the original plan, tell us about the changes being made to reduce costs. I have to agree it probably won't pass, the first time. Nothing positive comes from this venting and slanderous comments back and forth. Good bye.

  8. Again, its only "venting and slanderous" if its not of your opinion. I thought you were going to stick to facts? Don't go around throwing out numbers unless you know exactly what the building committee has come up with.

By the way, there are more than just 2 anonymous writers on this comment section. Don't bother complaining, because I don't care. That may be impolite, but it is factual.

  9. The building committee talked about an additional 24,000 sg feet at Consolidated, at $200 per sq ft, that's $4,800,000 plus the six million start point, that gets awful close to $10 million, no hard numbers, just what was talked about at the building committee meeting, someone said there could be cost reductions, and they are? Factual ones that the building committee has talked about please. Why do you post anonymously anyway?

  10. Only in arundel will you find an anonymous poster bully a person for posting anonymously. Classic.

We do not post minutes yet redirect people to the location of where they are all posted online.

As you should know the town is working on a website upgrade to make communications with the towns people easier and more productive in the future.

Once again thanks for your feedback.

    1. Funny how we need to go to the rsu site to get information. There was a large group who felt the rsu only provided lies. That was the point of the town of arundel taking a non biased stance and working to provide accurate information. They have failed. They have not posted all of the agendas nor all of the minutes. And this site has not directed us to the agendas and the minutes as they are posted.

I am in no way intending to offend the keeper of this site, who Is also anonymous. The point is, round two is about to begin and neither the committee nor the town has done a good job providing information to residents.

    2. My thoughts exactly; not only are the minutes terrible (no detail whatsoever in them), but they aren't even posted on the town website, which was the promise prior to the vote at the Selectmen's meeting earlier this year.
