KENNEBUNK — Arundel will have a new representative on the RSU 21 Board of Directors, after voters had their say Tuesday.
Susan
Sinnott-Curran beat incumbent Jack Reetz by 296 votes to 137 votes for
the seat on the board representing Arundel. In Kennebunkport, Bob Domine
held on to his post representing the town, against newcomer Chuck
Kiezulas, by a vote of 332 to 266, while Kennebunk incumbents Tim Hussey
and Brad Huot maintained their seats. Hussey received 772 votes while
Huot brought in 598 votes. Challenger Gayle Spofford earned 426 votes.
"I want to be the active voice for all the
children in Arundel" - adding that she wanted to give voice for the
students who are not in the Kennebunk schools. "I want to increase
communication."
That would be most wonderful, if only she hadn't been a member of the anti-RSU facebook page. Her pro-TAMS stance doesn't speak for *all* children in Arundel.
ReplyDeleteI disagree i feel she does represent all of Arundel. Isn't it funny if someone does not feel pro RSU they are labeled as someone who wont protect all kids. Well you are wrong she will stand up for both sides. Unlike Jack Reetz she won't take a side.
DeleteUm, she already did. She said she would not push for school choice. It couldn't get any more clear. She took a side.
DeleteCongratulation to Susan Sinnott Curran. Since consolidation Arundel has been ill represented. I have faith that Sue will do what is in the best interest of the students and Arundel as a whole. Thank-you Susan for stepping up.
